WALLER, TEXAS, April 29, 2021—Since opening its doors in a cooling market, Grizzly Manufacturing has never been afraid to pave its own path. With its latest hire, the equipment solutions company is making bold moves yet again: bringing on a vice president known for breaking the mold.
“Successful companies need to be creative and challenge their industries to do things differently,” said Daniel Zamora, Grizzly’s new vice president. “I’m excited to challenge how we do things every day and figure out what’s best for our team and clients. A small change can create a huge ripple effect.”
Zamora is no stranger to the equipment solutions space. His decades-long career includes leadership roles at companies such as NOV Rolligon, NRG Manufacturing and, most recently, Kennedy Fabricating. He joins the Grizzly team after spending the last three and a half years as Kennedy’s Vice President of Operations—a role in which he worked closely on multiple mobile equipment projects with Grizzly President Kirk French.
“Daniel is someone who I’ve worked with and learned from for years,” French said. “He has a keen eye for identifying voids in the market and developing customer-focused solutions. Those skills, and his strong relationships, will be important assets as Grizzly expands.”
As VP, Zamora is a driving force behind the company’s growth strategy. His core goals include diversifying Grizzly’s products and services, establishing consistency across key processes, embracing a turnkey solutions model and, ultimately, bringing on new clients and personnel.
“We’re ready to reach into industries that can benefit from Grizzly’s expertise and service-minded approach,” he said. “But while we expand our customer base and diversify our offering, we’re also focused on building a strong team. We want to keep surrounding ourselves with talented people who are eager and motivated because that’s what it takes to prosper.”
For French, diversification is also about the ideas at the table. This is another area where Zamora provides value for the Grizzly leadership team, he said.
“Like me, Daniel has worked in the field and isn’t afraid to turn his wrenches on equipment,” he said. “But we’re also very different people with different perspectives. By challenging each other, we come up with creative solutions that keep the company, and the industry, moving forward.”
